In 1993 Cacique (pronounced Ka Seek) completed a circumnavigation. In 2007 her major refit was completed.
She is certified for up to 4 persons sailing up to 60 nautical miles offshore.
Cacique is a Vancouver 27. Long keel and cutter rigged. She turns on a sixpence. She has relatively small sails with roller reefing on the foresail and she is easily managed. There are 3 permanent berths with one able to convert to a double to make 4. She has a long keel with tiller steering and she sails like she is on rails, if you trim the sails she will sail straight without touching the tiller.
She was circumnavigated singlehanded by Rona House 1990 to 1993.
Her refit was completed in 2007, virtually everything has been renewed or overhauled, she has new rigging, new roller reefed yankee, new staysail and main, new berth cushions and interior, rebuilt Bukh 20 diesel. new cooker etc. She has a spinnaker and an inflatable tender.
Charter is available Skippered or bareboat.
Prices are £150 full day, 24 hours.

Cacique is equipped with:-
Roller reefing foresail.Two line reefing on reefs 2 & 3. Spinnaker and pole. Radar. VHF with GPS display, separate handheld VHF and GPS units. Two interior oil lamps for that cozy feel. Heater. CD/MP3 Player. Coolbox. Gimballed two burner hob and oven. Three person inflatable dingy (new 06). Bulkhead compass, nav station compass, hand bearing compass. Charts to cover Teignmouth down to West Cormwall. Various pilot & almanack books etc. 4 person liferaft and solas grab bag. Offshore pack of flares plus others. 4 new gas lifejackets with harnesses. Cat C first aid kit. All safety equipment for charter.
